About this plugin
AdminGrip keeps menu organization in the existing WordPress admin sidebar.
Grab it. Move it. Done.
There is no separate menu editor and no settings screen.
- Click Arrange Menu.
- Drag a top-level menu item by its grip.
- Drop it.
- Click Done.
The order is autosaved for you only on that site. Reset it at any time.
AdminGrip does not rename, hide, reveal, or change permissions for menu items. 1.
Keyboard usage
Enter arrangement mode and focus a menu item’s grip button.
- Alt + Arrow Up moves the item one movable position up.
- Alt + Arrow Down moves the item one movable position down.
Keyboard moves use the same autosave path as drag and drop. WordPress accessibility announcements report movement and save results.
Data and uninstall
Reset clears the current user’s site-specific admingrip_menu_order preference.
1 intentionally does not perform broad user-meta deletion during uninstall because safe multisite-wide cleanup would add disproportionate risk. Use Reset before uninstalling when preference cleanup is desired.
