This notice describes the public WP PlugIndex site as it operates in version 0.0.29. It does not describe planned analytics features that are not yet active.
Searches
When you use plugin search, the search term is sent to WP PlugIndex so the site can return results. Version 0.0.29 does not run a first-party product analytics system and does not create a search-history profile about you.
Cookies and local storage
WP PlugIndex does not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies in version 0.0.29. If you change the light/dark theme, the preference may be stored locally in your browser so the site can remember that setting.
Technical and security processing
Like most web services, the hosting, reverse-proxy and security infrastructure may temporarily process technical request information such as IP address, browser/user-agent information, requested path, timestamps and security signals. This is used to deliver, protect and troubleshoot the service, not to build advertising profiles.
Plugin data and external links
Plugin information displayed by WP PlugIndex is sourced from the public WordPress.org plugin directory. Links to WordPress.org or other external sites are governed by those sites' own privacy practices once you leave WP PlugIndex.
Future analytics changes
If first-party analytics is enabled in a later version, this notice will be updated before or with that deployment so the page describes the data actually collected at that time.
