Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records AS Product Shipping version 1.0.1 as active, updated 1y ago and tested up to WordPress 6.8.
Overview
About this plugin
AS Product Shipping is a WooCommerce shipping plugin that allows store owners to set custom shipping rates and weights for individual products. The plugin provides both flat rate and weight-based shipping options without requiring complex WooCommerce shipping zones configuration.
Features:
Per-Product Shipping Options: Set custom shipping options for individual products
Flat Rate Shipping: Charge a fixed rate per product
Weight-Based Shipping: Calculate shipping based on product weight
Product Weight Management: Easily set custom weights for your products
Flexible Configuration: Works with or without global shipping zone settings
Order Details: Weight information is displayed in order details
No Need for Default Shipping: Replaces WooCommerce’s default shipping features – no need to configure shipping in the Product Data box
How It Works:
Install and activate the plugin
Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping
Add the “AS Product Shipping” method to your shipping zones
Configure your global shipping rates (flat rate or weight-based)
Set custom weights and shipping options for your products in the product editor using this plugin’s custom shipping section (no need to use WooCommerce’s default shipping features in the Product Data box)
Customers will see your shipping options at checkout
This plugin is perfect for store owners who want granular control over shipping costs for individual products while maintaining a simple overall shipping configuration.
