Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records AutoTube version 1.5 as active, updated 18y ago and tested up to WordPress 2.2.

Overview

About this plugin

ENGLISH: It scans for the best matching video in the whole YouTube archive with more than 100 Million videos. You can either specify a search term or you can use an asterix * which will scan your site automatically for the best matching video. So you dont have to specify any tags anymore.

It will find the best YouTube video by itself. 3 AutoTube can insert videos automatically, so you dont have to state a video-id. Simply activate the auto-display funciton in the admin section (Settings->AutoTube).

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
