About this plugin
BlueSkies Highlighted Products for WooCommerce lets store owners choose default highlighted products and optionally override them per post. Output is rendered via the [bshp_highlighted_products] shortcode, so it can be placed in widget areas or anywhere else where shortcodes are processed.

What the service is used for
To let administrators subscribe for plugin update notices, compatibility tips, and occasional offers related to this plugin.
What data is sent and when
Only after the administrator checks the consent box and submits their email on the plugin settings screen, onboarding overlay, or reminder dialog, the plugin sends:
- The administrator’s email address (as entered or prefilled from their WordPress user account)
- The site URL (home address of this WordPress installation)
- A plugin source identifier and version string (for compatibility notices)
Data is sent via HTTPS POST to the plugin developer’s server. No store visitor or customer data is sent.

This plugin may offer site administrators an optional way to receive plugin updates and related news from the plugin developer. Participation is never required to use the plugin.
What we collect (only with your explicit consent)
If you check the consent box and submit your email, the plugin may send your email address, site URL, and plugin version to BlueSkies Digital as described in the External services section above.
When collection can happen
- A one-time welcome overlay the first time you open WooCommerce → Highlighted Products Widget (you may continue without email)
- An optional “Stay in the loop” step on the settings page when saving configuration
- An occasional reminder dialog if you save settings again after at least seven days without having opted in previously (you may dismiss it without subscribing)
What we do not collect
- Store visitor or customer emails, orders, or browsing behavior
- Analytics or tracking pixels on the front end of your site
Storage on your site
If you opt in, your consent choice and email may be stored in the WordPress options table on your site. You can remove this by uninstalling the plugin.
