Breezy AI Search replaces WordPress’s keyword search with AI that understands a question asked in plain words and answers it from your own pages, with links to where the answer came from. It only answers from your site’s content.
It works with the search box your theme already has. Connect the plugin, try it, switch it on.

How it works
- Install the plugin and click Start free trial. No credit card needed.
- Your site address is filled in for you. We read your public pages and prepare your search.
- Back in WordPress, click Try search and ask a question.
- Choose where search appears, then Switch search on. Nothing changes on your live site until you do.

An account is needed
Breezy AI Search is a hosted service, and this plugin connects your site to it. You need a Breezy AI Search account to use it.

The search box shows a small “Powered by Breezy Plugins” line to your visitors. Want search to look entirely like your own feature? White-label, which removes the line, is included in our higher plans.
Good to know
- Works with WordPress’s own search form, the Search block and most themes. You can also add a floating search button, or open search from any button or link on your site.
- Search stays off on staging, development and local copies of your site unless you turn it on there, so test visits don’t count in your analytics.
- Works with page caching plugins. Clear the page cache after you switch search on or off.
- Works with a strict Content Security Policy: everything travels on one script tag, with no inline script.
- Part of the Breezy family. If you use the free Breezy plugin, AI Search appears in the same Breezy menu.

External services
This plugin connects your site to the Breezy AI Search service, operated by WhooshPro Pte Ltd. It is needed for the plugin to do anything: your pages are read, and visitors’ questions are answered, on our servers.
- Search widget. When search is switched on, visitors’ browsers load the search widget from ai-search-api.breezyplugins.com. When a visitor searches, their question and the address of the page they are on are sent from their browser so we can answer. The widget keeps a random visitor ID in the browser’s local storage, used only for the anonymous usage statistics you see in the portal. It sets no cookies. The widget also loads on the plugin’s own settings page, so you can try search before switching it on.
- Reading your pages. Once you connect, our crawler reads the public pages (and PDF documents) of your site to build your search. It reads only what any visitor can see.
- Connecting. When you click Start free trial or I already have an account, your browser goes to the Breezy AI Search portal ( ai-search.breezyplugins.com ) and your site address is sent with it, to set up or find your account. The portal sends back the details the plugin needs: your site key, tenant ID and site ID.
- Ownership check. The plugin adds a small, invisible verification tag to your homepage, and your site’s server asks ai-search-api.breezyplugins.com to check it, sending your site key and site ID. The tag is removed when you disconnect or uninstall.
Nothing is sent until you connect. The plugin does not send your WordPress users, passwords, posts or settings.
