Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Buy Him a Beer version 1.01 as active, updated 13y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.5.
Overview
About this plugin
Everyone has seen the donation buttons on websites. How much satisfaction do you get out of giving someone a $2 donation though? What if you could buy them your favorite beer?
This plugin allows you to put a custom “Buy Me a Beer” button on your blog. com to choose a beer for you. Once they have chosen a beer, the visitor will click on a buy button which directs them to Paypal to pay you for the beer.
Using the buyhimabeer service is completely free and doesn’t require any type of account. com doesn’t collect any information about its users.
