Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Overview

About this plugin

com cloud rendering service. There is no need to rebuild your creatives in a separate video editor: you design the slider in your favourite slider plugin, and Captyre captures it exactly as it animates and returns a finished video you can download — on demand, or automatically on a recurring schedule.

Supported slider platforms

  • Slider Revolution 7 (SR7 engine)
  • Smart Slider 3 (Free and Pro)
  • LayerSlider
  • Depicter (Free and Pro)
  • Elementor (saved templates)

What you can do

  • Convert any supported slider into a frame-accurate video with a single click
  • Keep the exact animation timing and synchronized audio of the original design in the render
  • Schedule recurring conversions — re-render a slider to video automatically on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule, and pause, resume, or delete schedules anytime
  • Follow your render jobs and download the finished videos from the Jobs screen

Secure by design

Captyre never uploads your slides — it renders by capture, not upload. com account, browsing render jobs) are restricted to logged-in WordPress administrators, capability-checked and nonce-verified. To produce a video, the plugin exposes a signed, time-limited (72-hour) playback URL on your own WordPress site that plays the slider exactly as a visitor would see it; Captyre’s cloud renderer then loads that URL over HTTPS and screen-records the animation.

Your design assets never leave your server — only the finished video URL is returned.

Requirements

  • A free or paid account at Captyre.com
  • At least one supported slider platform installed: Slider Revolution 7.0.0 or later, Smart Slider 3, LayerSlider, Depicter 4.0.0 or later, or Elementor 3.0.0 or later

Captyre rendering service (api.captyre.com)

What it is and what it is used for: Captyre is a cloud rendering service operated by the plugin author. The plugin cannot render videos locally inside WordPress — slide rendering requires a headless browser, GPU-accelerated video encoding, and screen recording infrastructure that lives on Captyre’s servers. com, the service renders the slide to a video file, and the resulting video URL is returned to the WordPress site.

What data is sent and when:

* When you click “Generate video” on a slide, the plugin sends the slide identifier, slide platform (Slider Revolution, Smart Slider 3, LayerSlider, Depicter, Elementor), playback URL on your own WordPress site, an API key, and the requesting WordPress user identifier.

* When the rendering job completes, Captyre posts the resulting video URL and job metadata back to your WordPress site via the configured callback URL.

* When connecting the plugin to your Captyre account, login credentials are exchanged for a JWT token which is stored as a transient.

Buffer (api.buffer.com) — optional

What it is and what it is used for: Buffer is a social media publishing service. It is used only if you add a Buffer sharing target under Sharing Targets; the plugin then asks Buffer to publish each finished video to the social channels you selected (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Facebook and others you manage in Buffer). Nothing is sent to Buffer unless you have connected a Buffer target.

What data is sent and when:

com to list your Buffer organizations and channels. “Test” only reads; it never posts.

* When a video finishes rendering and you selected a Buffer target for it, the plugin sends your Buffer API key and, for each selected channel, the public URL of the finished video together with its title, caption, tags and the channel-specific post settings you chose. Buffer downloads the video from that URL and publishes or queues the post.
