Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Circumflex Booking Events version 1.0.0 as active, updated 18d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

Bring people together for concerts, courses, conferences and community events. Create an inviting event page with an image, programme and practical information, and offer ticket types that fit your event.

Let people book for themselves or a group. Keep track of registrations and available tickets, send QR tickets by email and welcome attendees with straightforward check-in on a phone.

A free add-on for Circumflex Booking Core. For events without payments; no Pro subscription is needed.

Present your event

Bring together an image, introduction, programme, practical information, time and venue on an event page. Show several events in an overview or share a link to a single event.

Offer your own ticket types

Create categories such as general admission, member or companion. Describe each type and set the number of tickets available for the whole event and for individual types.

Let people book together

One booking can include several attendees and ticket types. Set a limit on tickets per booking. Each confirmed place receives its own ticket.

Keep track of registrations

Confirm bookings automatically or approve requests yourself. View registrations and their status, handle cancellations and download the attendee list.

Send tickets and reminders

The contact person receives a confirmation email with QR tickets. Enable reminders before the event and notify attendees about changes or cancellation.

Welcome your attendees

Scan a ticket with a phone or look up the registration manually. When a group arrives together, staff can count the attendees and check in those who have arrived at once.

Make tickets easy to find

Attendees can show their ticket on a phone or print it. If the confirmation email is missing, they can find their tickets with their email address and a code sent to them.

Make it work for your event

Choose registration dates, a cancellation deadline and optional email verification. Pause new bookings when needed. Event information stays available when the event is full or registration is closed.

Give staff access to selected events for event management or check-in. Administrators have access to all events. Choose defaults for new events and adjust them for each event.

Good to know

  • Requires Circumflex Booking Core 1.6.17 or newer.
  • The current version accepts bookings without payments and does not offer numbered seats or a waiting list.
  • Ticket types are categories you create, not automatic checks of membership or other eligibility.
  • Check-in requires an internet connection and closes when the event ends.
  • One booking setup is active per WordPress site.

Privacy and External Services

Event registrations and messages are stored on the WordPress site. The site

owner must publish appropriate privacy information before accepting real

registrations. Core provides configurable retention and WordPress privacy

export and erasure for event data.

Cloudflare Turnstile is an optional security check, disabled by default.

If an administrator enables it in Core’s Privacy and tools settings, the event

com and sends a one-time

response token to the site’s server. The server sends that token and its

private Turnstile key to Cloudflare Siteverify; it does not explicitly send

the visitor’s IP address. Cloudflare processes technical signals such as IP

address, browser information, site key and origin. Registration fails if the

check cannot be verified. Review the

Turnstile Privacy Addendum,

Cloudflare Privacy Policy and

Cloudflare Terms before enabling

it, and describe this processing in the site’s privacy information.
