Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Conqueror – SEO version 0.5.0 as active, updated 3d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.0.

Overview

About this plugin

Conqueror is an SEO service that researches keywords, then improves the pages on

your site to rank for them. Its agents read your published content and propose a

rewrite; you review each proposal as a diff inside Conqueror and decide whether

to apply it.

This plugin is the starting point inside wp-admin. It does six things:

  • Checks the three things that make connecting fail – HTTPS, application

passwords, and REST API reachability – and tells you which one to fix.

  • Gives you a button that opens Conqueror with this site’s URL prefilled.
  • Explains what Conqueror will and will not do to your site.
  • Prints the revenue attribution tag, once you turn that on from Conqueror,

so there is no snippet to paste into your theme.

  • Lets an approved change update the title and description Google shows for a

page, when the site uses Yoast SEO or Rank Math.

  • Lets an approved change update the text of a page built with Elementor: its

headings, text and buttons. Pages built with Bricks are recognized, and

Conqueror says so instead of applying a change they would not show.

Nothing on this site changes until you apply a rewrite. Conqueror never

publishes on its own.

What this plugin sends

Nothing. It stores no credentials, contains no tracking, and makes no requests to

Conqueror or any other external service. The one network request it makes is a

loopback request to your own site’s REST API, to check that an outside caller can

reach it.

Search listing (Yoast SEO and Rank Math)

Google usually shows the title and description your SEO plugin prints, not the

post title. Yoast SEO and Rank Math keep those in fields WordPress does not let

outside apps change, so without this plugin a rewrite cannot reach them.

With it, a change you approve in Conqueror updates the SEO title and meta

description in Yoast SEO or Rank Math, and rolling the change back puts the

previous ones back. If someone edits them in the Yoast or Rank Math box after a

change was prepared, Conqueror refuses to overwrite that edit.

Conqueror can only do this as the user you connected with, and only for posts

that user is allowed to edit.

Page builders (Elementor and Bricks)

A page built with Elementor or Bricks shows the builder’s own copy of its text,

not the post content WordPress keeps, so a rewrite of the post content would not

appear on the page.

With this plugin, a change you approve in Conqueror updates the text of an

Elementor page’s headings, text and buttons, and rolling it back puts the

previous text back. Layout and styling are never changed. If someone edits that

text in Elementor after a change was prepared, Conqueror refuses to overwrite

the edit.

Pages built with Bricks can’t be changed from Conqueror yet. Conqueror tells you

when a page is one of them instead of applying a change it would not show.

Revenue attribution

Off unless you turn it on from inside Conqueror. When you do, Conqueror writes a

site key to this site over the connection you already granted, and the plugin

adds a small script to your pages.

That script sends nothing to Conqueror. It keeps a cookie on your own domain

recording which page a visitor first arrived on, and passes that to Stripe when

they check out – so Conqueror learns where a sale came from only when a sale

happens. Visitors who never buy are never reported anywhere.

Turn it off in Conqueror and the tag stops being printed immediately.

Access is granted by WordPress itself, through the core application-password

php ), which you approve while logged

into this site. The plugin never sees the resulting password. Revoke it any time

under Users → Profile → Application Passwords, or by disconnecting in

Conqueror.

A Conqueror account is required

The plugin is a connector; the service does the work. Conqueror is a paid

third-party service operated by Conqueror. See

the site for terms and pricing.
