The plugin: Loads the CookieShift CMP on the public website when connected. Allows administrators to create a CookieShift account. Allows administrators to connect an existing CookieShift account. Connects the website to a CookieShift Site ID. Provides access to CookieShift dashboard tools. Shows available consent activity summaries in WordPress admin. Managing the Connection The WordPress admin integration allows administrators to: Create a new CookieShift account. Connect an existing CookieShift account. Connect the current website. Synchronize module status. View available consent information. Open CookieShift dashboard tools. Disconnect the website. Disconnecting removes the locally stored API token. The CookieShift cloud account and website property are not deleted. The Site ID may be retained so the website can be reconnected to the same CookieShift property when possible. Privacy / Data Handling When connected, the plugin can store: CookieShift Site ID. Encrypted API/module token. Site URL or installation identity. Optional workspace metadata. The API/module token is stored in WordPress options using encrypted storage based on site salts. The token is used for server-side communication with CookieShift and is not intentionally exposed on public website pages. The hosted CookieShift CMP can process consent decisions according to the configuration associated with your CookieShift website. Uninstalling the plugin removes its stored CookieShift options from the WordPress database. External Services This plugin connects to the CookieShift service.
