Change the default WordPress shortlink structure dynamically just like you can change your permalinks.
Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. WP PlugIndex currently records Custom Shortlink Structure version 1.0 as active, updated 13y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.6.
This plugin will add new settings to your Settings -> Permalinks screen for you to
specify your blog’s shortlink structure. By default WordPress shortlinks look like
p=153. Using this plugin you can specify every other structure
g. com/~153.
Specifying new shortlink structures will never break WordPress’ default. Also when
changing the shortlink structure again afterwards old structures won’t break until you
explicitly remove them.

Not yet marked as tested with WordPress 7.1. WordPress.org currently lists Tested up to 3.6.
“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
