Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Delete Custom Header version 1.2.1 as active, updated 12y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.9.
Overview
About this plugin
0+ is great. It shows you your uploaded header images.
It’s too bad it doesn’t let you delete them as well!
The answer is here with a simple yet extremely useful little plugin called Delete Custom Header.
Unlike WP’s “Remove Header” button, this plugin completely removes the header image data
from the database and the files from the server.
For themes with a header option, like Twenty Ten, Twenty Eleven, etc.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
