Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Disable AI for Security version 1.3.0 as active, updated 21d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.
Overview
About this plugin
0 — quickly, cleanly, and without a single setting to configure.
0 introduces built-in AI connectors. They’re a great addition, but not every site needs them. If you prefer to keep your site lean and predictable, or your organization’s policy is to keep AI features off, this plugin gives you a simple one-click way to do exactly that.
Just activate it. That’s it. There is no settings page, no configuration, and nothing to maintain — the plugin starts protecting your site the moment it’s enabled.
What it does
Disables WordPress AI at the core level. Core stops registering AI providers, rejects AI connectors, and won’t run AI prompts.
Works for every role. AI is turned off site-wide — for administrators, editors, authors, and everyone else. No exceptions, no per-user toggles.
Hides the AI admin screens. The Connectors and AI settings pages are removed from wp-admin, and direct links to them are blocked.
Shows a clear status badge. A small green “AI Disabled” badge in the admin bar confirms protection is active.
Why you’ll like it
Zero configuration. No setup, no options, no learning curve.
Works out of the box. Protection is on the instant you activate.
Lightweight and focused. It does one job and does it well.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
