WP PlugIndex currently records dotenv version 1.0.3 as active, updated 5y ago and tested up to WordPress 5.7.
env will be used to override the WordPress options. env file.

Any option in the wp_options table or retrieved by get_option() can be set this way.

You can define keys either as WPENV_BLOGDESCRIPTION or as WPENV_blogdescription, both will work.

env file, rather than the plugin looking for it, you can filter dotenv_location to be a directory path.

You can also change the WPENV_ prefix by filtering dotev_key_prefix to be a different prefix.
Not yet marked as tested with WordPress 7.1. WordPress.org currently lists Tested up to 5.7.
“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
No tracked version or compatibility changes have been recorded by WP PlugIndex yet.
