WP PlugIndex currently records Encrypt Image Tags within the_content() area version 0.1 as active, updated 14y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.3.
This will ensure that the audience of your site will not see the actual image source/filename. This in one way will just deter an user from stealing your image. However, internet savvy people will be somehow able to still reverse engineer the scrambled script to recover the filename.
Security is never 100% 😉 Hope this plugin will be of some use to others too.
Not yet marked as tested with WordPress 7.1. WordPress.org currently lists Tested up to 3.3.
“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
