Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Fair Calendar Button version 1.6.0 as active, updated 10d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

1.6.0

Minor Changes

  • 68ef130: Each plugin now ships documentation of its blocks in block-docs/, matched

json lists every block the plugin supplies, with its

json, status, and when it is registered, and each block

has a usage guide and serialized examples that open in the editor without

validation errors. Site tooling and AI assistants can read these files from

the installed plugin and compare them with the blocks a site reports through

WordPress’s authenticated /wp/v2/block-types endpoint.

Patch Changes

  • 61e9b4d: Fix “Keep in sync with event data” for buttons on Fair Events event posts. Synchronized buttons now read the event’s current dates, all-day setting, and location from Fair Events (venue name and address, or the event’s own address) in the editor and on every page view, so event changes show without saving the post again. When the event has no usable dates or Fair Events is inactive, the editor explains why and the button offers no calendar entry instead of stale values; turning off syncing unlocks the fields with the latest values. Manually configured and standalone buttons are unchanged.
  • 8dbeeed: Export events to calendars only when they are all-day or have both a start and an end time. The ICS feed leaves out dates with a missing time, and the calendar button offers no entry for them instead of guessing a time. On a recurring event that mixes both, the button adds the next date that has both times, without the series rule. The event dates and public events APIs report calendar_export_eligible, and the public events feed now includes start_date, end_date, start_time and end_time.

Patch Changes

-

6 and Recharts

1. Calendar exports and the statistics and comparison

charts show the same dates, values and tooltips as before.

The Fair Events calendar button now passes all-day events to the calendar

as plain dates, so they stay on their day in every timezone. Without this,

the updated library would have moved them one day later for visitors in

UTC+12 timezones, such as New Zealand in winter or Fiji.

1.5.4

Patch Changes

  • 0c94b22: Calculate Calendar Button repeat dates the same way Fair Events does. An event that repeats until a chosen date now includes the occurrence that falls on that date, even when it starts later in the day, and the editor’s occurrence calendar marks the right end day in timezones behind UTC. Existing blocks keep their saved repeat rule until the repeat settings are edited.

Patch Changes

  • a439c54: Restore the standalone Fair Calendar Button plugin build so its wp.org listing can keep shipping, versioned independently starting from 1.5.2.
