Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Fast & Easy Social Sharing version 1.0.2 as active, updated 12y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.7.
Overview
About this plugin
A simple and fast social media sharing plugin. The share buttons are loaded as fonts thus load fast and can scale as large as you want them to be. No JavaScript is loaded from any of the social networks.
Only two requests are being made, one for the fonts and another for the stylesheet, that’s it.
For the time being, the icons are displayed only on posts, not pages or your homepage. Future version will have a feature to enable for pages.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
