Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Fastershare version 1.0 as active, updated 15y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.2.
Overview
About this plugin
If you install this plugin on your blog, your visitors get two buttons below your posts and pages:
A Facebook “share” button
and a Twitter “tweet” button.
These are not the standard Like- and Tweet-Buttons, which also display how many people have clicked on it so far, but basically pure and simple html-links.
DISADVANTAGE:
Less interaction.
ADVANTAGES:
It’s faster. Your blog does not have to contact Facebook’s and Twitter’s servers.
Better privacy. No information about your visitors is sent to Facebook or Twitter. Nota bene: Facebook’s standard like button allows Facebook to track your visitors even if they do not click on it!

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
