Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Fixora 404 Redirect Homepage version 1.0.0 as active, updated 20d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.
Overview
About this plugin
Fixora 404 Redirect Homepage helps visitors who follow a broken or outdated link. Instead of showing your theme’s “Page not found” template, WordPress sends them to your homepage, or to any published page on the same site.
Redirection is enabled right after activation, using an HTTP 302 to the homepage, so it works without setup. Open Settings → Fixora 404 Redirect to turn it off, switch between 301 and 302, or pick a different destination page.
What it does
Redirects front-end 404 responses with wp_safe_redirect to the site homepage or a page you select.
Skips admin, login, REST API, feeds, cron, AJAX, previews, and missing static files (images, CSS, JS, fonts, PDF, etc.) so those stay normal 404s.
Compares the full request path and query string to the destination so plain-permalink URLs like /?p=999999 still redirect and the homepage does not loop.
Optional log: last 50 redirected URLs with date, requested path and query, and referer (sanitized, truncated). No IP addresses are stored.
Test redirect now button runs a self-check against a random missing URL on your site.
What it does not do
No analytics, no remote services, and no visitor IP logging.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
