Move thumbnails file location to {$upload_path}/thumbnails or {$upload_path}/sites/{$blog_id}/thumbnails for multisite.
Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. WP PlugIndex currently records Fr Thumbnails Folder version 1.4.0 as active, updated 2y ago and tested up to WordPress 6.6.
WordPress generates thumbnails in the same directory with the original image. This plugin change this behavior by generating the thumbnails in a separate directory. The thumbnails will only be generated when they are needed and has not been generated.
This plugin will only move the thumbnails location for new uploaded images. To move all thumbnails, you need to delete all existing thumbnails (see FAQ).
Not yet marked as tested with WordPress 7.1. WordPress.org currently lists Tested up to 6.6.
“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
