Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records fresh Podcaster version 1.0.7 as active, updated 5y ago and tested up to WordPress 5.7.
Overview
About this plugin
“fresh Podcaster” is a simple yet customizable plugin to embed podcasts in your posts and pages. Just add a shortcode anywhere. You can add multiple podcasts to a single page and you can use all sorts of source formats like mp4, m4a or wav and many more.
Furthermore you can customize the podcast player using CSS in the plugin settings.
There is no integrated hosting plattform, free yet non-GDPR-compliant tracking, no subscription fees or anything. It doesn’t get any simpler.
