Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records LightMoving InnoDB Converter version 1.0.16 as active, updated 1mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.
Overview
About this plugin
LightMoving InnoDB Converter helps modernize older WordPress databases that still contain tables using MyISAM or other legacy storage engines.
The plugin scans your WordPress database tables, identifies tables that are not using InnoDB, and provides a safe administrator-controlled bulk conversion workflow.
Features include:
WordPress table engine scan
Bulk conversion to InnoDB
Selected-table conversion controls
Backup confirmation workflow
Required CONVERT confirmation step
Table row and size display
Clean conversion success logging
Responsive modern admin interface
Direct Tools link from the Plugins page
No automatic conversion on activation
Safety Features
No automatic conversion on plugin activation
Administrator-only access
Backup confirmation checkbox
Required CONVERT confirmation text
Converts only selected tables using the active WordPress table prefix
Displays current table engine, row count, and size

Important
Always create a complete database backup before converting database tables.
Large tables may require additional time depending on hosting resources. Conversion operations may temporarily lock tables while MySQL or MariaDB processes ALTER TABLE operations.
