About this plugin
Kogility Bookkeeping for WooCommerce turns your store’s orders into the numbers your accountant asks for: revenue, refunds, sales tax by jurisdiction, shipping, overheads and profit.
Features
- Executive Dashboard KPI Tracker: Monitor Gross Revenue, Net Profit, Margin %, Expenses, Notated Shipping, and Total Orders with interactive revenue/profit trend charts and customizable drag-and-drop KPI card reordering.
- Custom Sales & Bookkeeping Reports: Filter by standard date presets (Last 30 Days, By Month, Custom Range), select custom fields, preview and edit report lines inline with live lateral row calculations, and export clean CSVs.
- Interactive Spreadsheet Preview: Resizable columns with drag handles, inline cell editing, paging at 100 rows, and dynamic totals/sums row recalculations in real time.
- State Tax Summary: Generate quarterly, monthly, or annual tax summaries grouped by jurisdiction, displaying taxable sales, collected tax, effective tax rates, and manual state tax rate overrides.
- Overhead & Expenses Ledger: Log recurring overhead costs (daily, monthly, yearly) and one-time bills, attach receipt PDFs/images, create custom categories, and filter expenses with ease.
- Smart Prorating Engine: Automatically prorates recurring expenses across filtered date ranges to calculate true Net Profit and Profit Margins.
- Estimated Payment Gateway Fees: Optional toggle to accurately factor merchant processing fees (e.g. Stripe, PayPal, WooPayments) into net profitability, including automatic dual-fee (x2) accounting on refunded orders.
- Product Cost & UPC Barcode fields: Record a Cost price ( _cost ) and UPC / Barcode ( _upc ) on Simple products and on Variable product variations, with built-in multi-plugin compatibility guards.
- Private Notes: Keep an internal note on any product, and pull WooCommerce order notes into your reports.
- Automated Order Workflow: Auto-backorder custom WooCommerce status badge and customizable dual alternating row highlight colors.
Cost of Goods reporting is a separate paid product
Cost of Goods reporting is not included in this plugin. It ships in Kogility Bookkeeping Pro, a separately distributed plugin that is not hosted here. This free plugin contains none of that code: it records no per-order unit costs, reports no COGS column, shows no COGS KPI, and its Net Profit figure is revenue less shipping, gateway fees and overheads.
Kogility Bookkeeping Pro adds the cost of goods engine: per-order cost snapshots taken at the time of sale, a COGS report column and KPI card, cost-aware Net Profit and Margin, an editable cost column on the WooCommerce order screen, WooCommerce Cost of Goods Sold interoperability, bulk invoice download and expenses CSV export.
