Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records LanguageBack version 1.2 as active, updated 14y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.4.
Overview
About this plugin
I created this plugin because i wanted this feature (to set a specific locale for frontend) out of my themes. I’m assuming i’m not the only one who would preffer to have the backend en_US only, so here it is…
0 onwards.
This plugin assumes you’re not using a translation plugin, so, if you have bilingual or multilimgual blogs, use with caution (and let me know … especially with qtranslate 🙂 ).
I’t not multisite tested/ready yet.
