Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records LAPDI Member Portal version 1.2.0 as active, updated 1h ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

LAPDI Member Portal gates protected pages, post types and other plugins’ member-only content to logged-in users, and gives members a self-service front-end account page. It ships with sensible, universal defaults and is fully configurable from its own settings screen — nothing is hardcoded to any one site’s setup.

Features

  • A front-end account/login page with a nonce-protected profile form (first name, last name, display name, email)
  • Any number of member roles, each with independent access settings
  • Renameable Portal Member and full-access Portal Board Member starter roles
  • Users → Assign Roles: select any number of members and add or remove a member role in one action
  • Users → Member Roles: create, rename, delete, and configure roles — access capability, protected page paths, protected post types, member capabilities, and the welcome-email template
  • [lapdi_portal_role] conditional content, including nested third-party shortcodes
  • [lapdi_member_account] shortcode for the account page
  • WordPress-native password recovery and nonce-protected logout
  • noindex, nofollow on account and protected front-end requests
  • Protected content excluded from unauthorized REST API requests, search, feeds, and public XML sitemaps
  • An account-page extension action for independently maintained membership and billing integrations
  • Optional site-owned presentation for WordPress account and password emails
  • No required framework — Member Portal registers its own screens directly, nothing else to install first

Works with LAPDI Events

If LAPDI Events is also active, its “Members only” event visibility automatically recognizes users assigned to any configured portal role — no extra setup required.
