Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Mxwlsoft Post Row Colors – Background Highlighter for Admin version 1.0.1 as active, updated 5mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.0.
Overview
About this plugin
Do you find it hard to quickly locate specific content in a long list of posts or pages? Mxwlsoft Post Row Colors lets you assign a custom background color to each post or page row in the WordPress admin list table. This helps you visually organize, distinguish, and highlight content.
Key features:
Color-coded rows – Set a different background color for each post/page row. Instantly spot what matters.
10 built-in colors – Choose from soft red, orange, yellow, green, cyan, blue, purple, pink, light gray, or white.
Easy to use:
In the post editor, use the “Background Color” panel in the sidebar.
In the list table, use Quick Edit to change the color inline.
Use Bulk Edit to apply the same color to multiple posts at once.
No configuration – Activate and it works immediately. No settings page needed.
Use cases:
Mark important, pending, or featured posts.
Visually group content by category, author, or status (e.g., green = published, yellow = needs update, red = needs review).
Quickly spot specific entries in personal blogs or business websites.
