Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records NoMoreIE6Please version 1.2 as active, updated 14y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.3.
Overview
About this plugin
NoMoreIE6Please is a widget for WordPress which displays a custom message to update to new browser as specified. You can specify MSIE minimum version 7, meaning, if the user has MSIE 6, a custom message is displayed. Specify Firefox version 13, well, pretty much any Firefox will get this message then.
You can also choose the size of the icons to display, and which browsers you want to show to the MSIE6 user. E. disable MSIE and Firefox, then it’ll display only Chrome, Safari and Opera download link.
