Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Ogou Poll Lite version 3.54.0 as active, updated 15d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.
Overview
About this plugin
Ogou Poll is a free, fully functional voting plugin for contests, talent shows, and reality-show style competitions. Create a contest, add candidates (photo or video), and let signed-in visitors vote. Each contest gives every user a set number of free votes that you choose.
Features included and fully working in this free plugin:
Unlimited contests with start/end dates and a live countdown
Candidates with photo or video, bio, and drag-and-drop ordering
Free voting: give each signed-in user a fixed number of votes per contest
Live leaderboard with medal badges for the top three
Results and countdown shortcodes
Two polished card designs (Liquid Glass and Flat Modern)
A clean, dark admin dashboard with vote and participation charts
Site Mode: one switch turns your whole site into a branded contest website (header, hero with live countdown, voting grid, live leaderboard, footer, branded sign-in)
Editor blocks: Ogou Poll, Ogou Leaderboard and Ogou Top 3 — pick the contest from a menu, no shortcode or ID needed
“Ogou — Top 3” sidebar widget for any widget area
Social share buttons on every candidate (WhatsApp, Facebook, X, Telegram, copy link)
This plugin does not connect to any external or third-party services. All voting, tallying, and data storage happen on your own WordPress site.
