Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. WP PlugIndex currently records One Search Result version 1.1.0 as active, updated 5y ago and tested up to WordPress 5.8.
When there is only one search result available for a query, automatically redirect the user to that result.
This will work with any theme and any posts, pages, or custom post types that would be shown in search results.
You can filter one_search_result_pre_check to false if you need to short-circuit and disable the redirect dynamically.
You can modify the redirect code with once_search_result_redirect_code, defaults to 302.
Not yet marked as tested with WordPress 7.1. WordPress.org currently lists Tested up to 5.8.
“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
