Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Ragently Reservations version 1.2.0 as active, updated 6d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

Ragently Reservations adds the Ragently booking widget to your WordPress site. Guests pick a date, time and party size and book directly; the reservation lands in your Ragently dashboard.

  • Floating booking button (default): a “Book a table” button at the bottom right of every page, also on mobile. It opens the booking form in a panel.
  • Booking form on one page: choose the “Booking form” display and place the shortcode [ragently_reserveren] on the page where guests should book. The widget then only loads on that page.
  • Your own button: link any existing button to #ragently-reserveren, or give it the CSS class ragently-reserveren, and it opens the widget.
  • Works with caching plugins: the script carries the attributes that tell WP Rocket, Cloudflare Rocket Loader and similar plugins not to defer or combine it.
  • Clear status in wp-admin: if the widget will not show (widget switched off, no key, unknown key, or the Ragently API is unreachable), the plugin says so on the Plugins page, the dashboard and its settings screen.

The plugin contains no booking logic and no tracking of its own. It only adds the Ragently widget script to your pages.

You need a Ragently account with reservations enabled. Your widget key is in your Ragently dashboard.

External services

nl), which provides the reservation widget and processes the bookings. Without it the plugin cannot work.

  • Widget script and booking data (in the visitor’s browser). On pages where the widget is shown, the visitor’s browser loads https://api.ragently.nl/reserveringen-widget.js. The widget then fetches your restaurant’s opening hours and availability from api.ragently.nl. When a guest makes a booking, the details the guest enters (name, phone number, e-mail address if given, party size, date, time and any note) are sent to Ragently to create the reservation. Like any request, these requests include the visitor’s IP address and browser information.
  • Deposit payments (only if the restaurant asks for a deposit). The guest is sent to the payment provider Mollie (https://www.mollie.com) to pay; Ragently receives the payment status, not the card or bank details. Mollie terms: https://www.mollie.com/legal/user-agreement Mollie privacy: https://www.mollie.com/privacy
  • Key check (from your WordPress server). In wp-admin (Plugins page, dashboard and the plugin’s settings screen), the plugin checks at most once every five minutes whether Ragently recognises your widget key. This request sends only your widget key and the chosen language to api.ragently.nl.
