Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Romesoft Post Visibility Manager version 1.1.0 as active, updated 3mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.0.
Overview
About this plugin
Romesoft Post Visibility Manager is a straightforward access control plugin for WordPress. It allows administrators to manage exactly which user roles can view your content, and provides elegant password protection options.
Features
Global Visibility Defaults: Control which roles can access a specific Content Type (Posts, Pages, or any Custom Post Type) by default.
Custom Visibility per Post: Override global settings on individual posts or pages.
Global Password Protection: Set a single site-wide password to protect specific content types.
Device-Based Restrictions: Block or allow access based on the visitor’s device (Desktop, Tablet, Mobile) using either a fast CSS-based Visual method or a secure AJAX-based Strict method.
Content Exclusion (Bypass): Select specific pages (like your “My Account” or “Checkout” pages) to always bypass protection rules.
Smart Filtering: Restricted posts are automatically hidden from archive loops and search results.
Access Denied Screen: Replaces the default 404 error with a professional “Access Denied” template.
