Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Scintilla Demo Importer version 0.0.2 as active, updated 1y ago and tested up to WordPress 6.8.
Overview
About this plugin
Scintilla Demo Importer is a one click demo importer for WordPress that turns a fresh installation into a finished website in minutes. Instead of building every page from scratch, you import demo content exactly as you see it on the theme demo, then swap the sample text and images for your own.
The plugin detects the demo package that belongs to your active theme, downloads it from the server, installs the required plugins, and runs the whole import from a single screen with a clear step-by-step progress bar. No FTP, no manual XML uploads, no database work.
What the one click import brings in
Pages, posts, categories, tags and custom post types
Media library images, with attachments correctly linked to their content
Navigation menus, assigned to the right menu locations automatically
Widgets and sidebar layouts
Customizer settings, theme options and the front page / blog page setup
Elementor page builder templates and layouts
Required and recommended plugins, installed and activated for you
Contact forms (Fluent Forms) and sliders (Revolution Slider) where the demo uses them
Key features
True one click demo import — pick a demo, press import, watch it finish
Live progress with error reporting so a failed step is visible instead of silent
Multiple demo support for themes that ship more than one starter site
Automatic URL search and replace, so imported links point at your domain
Selective import — bring in only the content, widgets or settings you need
Works with child themes and with any theme that supplies a compatible demo config
Translation ready and built on clean, namespaced, PSR-4 code
Themes that work with this importer
Every Scintilla theme ships with a matching demo package. Get all of them in one purchase with the WordPress Theme Bundle, or browse the Elementor WordPress Themes collection if you build with Elementor.
