Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Slug as body class version 1.0 as active, updated 12y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.9.
Overview
About this plugin
Want to have css styling rules for individual pages or posts?
This plugin adds a unique class to the body tag of the html. The added class is formatted as “[post_type]-[post_name]”. For a page with slug (= post_name) “about” it will be “page-about”, and for a post named “today” it will be “post-today”.
Currently no slug will be added for archive and category pages. Please let us know if you need this and we will add it.
example
Say you want to have a red title on your contact page. With this plugin all you need to do is add this line to your css:
page-contact h1 {
color: red;
}

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
