Core fields such as name, email, address, and other important checkout fields may be locked depending on WooCommerce requirements. This helps keep your checkout stable and compatible with standard WooCommerce behavior.

Freemius Connection
SmartCheckout includes the Freemius SDK for an optional upgrade page and consent-based installation analytics. The free checkout editor works even when the administrator skips the connection.
If the administrator opts in, Freemius may receive basic administrator and website details, WordPress/PHP/plugin version and environment information, activation/deactivation information, and optional deactivation feedback. Theme and plugin information is shared only if the administrator permits it on the consent screen. SmartCheckout does not send checkout field settings, customer checkout entries, or order data to Freemius.
The connection can be skipped or disabled from the WordPress Plugins screen. Freemius terms and privacy policy apply to information shared with Freemius.

Compatibility
SmartCheckout works best with the classic WooCommerce checkout shortcode. When Checkout Blocks are detected, SmartCheckout can help switch the checkout page to classic checkout and save a backup of the previous block layout.
The optional modern classic checkout style is disabled by default and can be turned on or off from the SmartCheckout screen. It may not match every theme perfectly, especially sites with heavily customized checkout templates or third-party checkout replacement plugins.
