Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Stackbrace version 0.5.1 as active, updated 1d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

This plugin sends data to Stackbrace, a service you choose to use. org’s copy and which files changed lately; who can administer the site and when they last logged in; which backup plugins run; and the error lines of the debug log, cleaned of secrets. com/privacy.

It sends nothing until a key is saved.

Stackbrace keeps the record of who holds every layer of every site an agency looks after, checks each site from outside every day, and sends one alert that names the broken layer and who can fix it.

This plugin reports what no outside check can see: exact versions, update state, changed files, backups. It only talks outward. It opens no endpoint on the site, accepts no instructions, makes no updates, changes no files, and runs nothing on request.

Stackbrace never holds a key to the site.
