Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Stinoment Auto Image Uploader version 7.3.2 as active, updated 1mo ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Overview

About this plugin

When you copy content from another website, a document or an email into WordPress, the images usually stay on the other server. They can disappear later, slow down your page, and hurt your SEO.

Stinoment Auto Image Uploader fixes this in one step. As soon as you paste content that contains external images, a small window opens and lists every image it found. With one click, the plugin downloads the images, saves them to your own Media Library, and replaces the addresses in your content.

The rest of your HTML stays exactly as it was.

WebP conversion is always your choice. A simple checkbox decides whether images are converted to the lighter WebP format or kept in their original format.

Key features

  • Automatic image upload on paste: Detects external images in pasted content and saves them to your Media Library.
  • Optional WebP conversion: Convert JPEG and PNG images to WebP with one checkbox, for pasted images, featured images and normal uploads.
  • SEO filename and alt text: Set a clean filename and alt text for each image before it is uploaded.
  • WebP for the Media Library: A “Convert to WebP” checkbox appears in the media window, so you can convert an existing image when you choose it as a featured image.
  • WebP for manual uploads: An “Auto-Convert Uploaded Images to WebP” checkbox appears on the upload screens.
  • Optional watermark: Stamp your own transparent PNG logo on pasted images, in the corner or center you choose.
  • Safe with your layout: Only the image addresses change. Your HTML structure, classes and custom layout stay untouched.
  • Firewall-friendly requests: Pasted content is encoded before it is sent to your own server, so strict server firewalls (WAF) are less likely to block normal editing.
  • Works with popular editors: Classic Editor (TinyMCE), the block editor (Gutenberg), Elementor and other page builders.
  • Translation ready: Every text in the plugin, including the popup window, can be translated. Right-to-left languages such as Persian and Arabic are supported.

How it works

  • Copy content that includes images from any website or document.
  • Paste it into your WordPress editor.
  • A window lists the external images. Edit the filenames and alt text if you like.
  • Tick or untick “Convert Images to WebP Format” (and “Apply Watermark” if you set a logo).
  • Click “Upload & Insert Images”. The content is inserted with the images now served from your own site.

Who is it for?

Bloggers, content writers, news sites, online shops and agencies who regularly move content between websites and want fast, self-hosted, SEO-friendly images without doing it by hand.
