Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Sync media with AWS S3 CloudFront version 1.0.6 as active, updated 11d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.
Overview
About this plugin
Upload images, CSS and JavaScript from WordPress uploads to Amazon S3 and serve registered files through S3 or CloudFront. Local copies are retained, and stored post content is not changed.
Full or incremental batch uploads with progress reporting.
Searchable folder tree with a vertically resizable list.
Remote URLs for registered files, including responsive images and common lazy-load markup.
Confirmed deletion of tracked S3 files, with options to skip, restore or permanently delete files missing locally.
Recovery of supported images into the Media Library, including a separate local-only repair tool. Recovered attachments receive new IDs; deleted captions, alt text and post associations cannot be reconstructed.
Clear your page cache after updates, configuration changes, uploads or deletion; the plugin does not purge it automatically. Existing unregistered S3 objects must be uploaded again to enter the registry.
Deactivation preserves settings and registry records. Uninstall removes local bookkeeping without deleting S3 objects.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
