About this plugin
Mietkalender shows your guests which days are free, calculates an indicative price and lets them send a booking request. You decide: every request is confirmed or declined by you, and only then the period is blocked in the calendar.
It is made for small and medium rentals – motorhomes and campervans, boats, holiday flats, rooms, bikes, equipment – that want to rent directly from their own website instead of paying a commission to a portal.
What you get
- Availability calendar with free, booked and requested days. Changeover days (departure and arrival on the same day) are supported.
- Booking request form in clear sections: salutation, first and last name, address, contact details, destination, adults and children, message. Every group can be switched on or off.
- “Your booking” summary next to the form: rental, pick-up location, period, duration, participants and indicative total price, including an optional list of your advantages.
- Indicative price per day or per night, one-off additional costs, optional deposit per rental, VAT notice. Minimum stay, maximum stay and lead time per rental.
- Manage requests: confirm or decline with one click. The guest receives an acknowledgement, a confirmation or a decline email – texts and subjects are yours to edit.
- Availability editor: block days manually, remove blocks, see requests at a glance.
- Any number of rentals with photo, description and pick-up location.
- Consent with proof: your terms, conditions and privacy policy are linked in the consent text; wording and time are stored with every request.
- Easy to embed: shortcode [mietkalender], a block for the block editor and a widget.
- Multilingual: works with WPML and Polylang; German translation included.
- No tracking, no external services, no ads.
Mietkalender Pro
For larger needs there is a separate plugin, Mietkalender Pro, available from the author’s website. It replaces this plugin and keeps all your data. com, a landlord portal, contracts and invoices as PDF and more.
You do not need Pro to use this plugin – everything described above is included here.
Privacy
Mietkalender stores booking requests in your WordPress database: name, email, phone, address, destination, number of participants, message, a pseudonymised hash of the IP address (spam protection) and the consent wording with the time of consent. Under Settings you can delete declined and unconfirmed requests automatically after a number of days. The plugin does not contact external services and does not set cookies.
