Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records ToolnPlay User Profile Enhancer version 1.0.1 as active, updated 1y ago and tested up to WordPress 6.8.
Overview
About this plugin
This plugin solves two common frustrations with default WordPress user profiles:
Inability to Change Usernames: By default, a username cannot be changed after creation. This plugin adds a simple field for administrators to update any user’s username directly from their profile page.
Reliance on Gravatar: This plugin allows your users to set their own profile picture by selecting an image directly from the WordPress Media Library, giving them more control and overriding the default Gravatar. If no custom avatar is set, a clean placeholder image is used instead.
It’s a lightweight, secure, and easy-to-use solution for enhancing user management on your WordPress site.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
