Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Twidger version 0.4.0 as active, updated 16y ago and tested up to WordPress 2.9.
Overview
About this plugin
Twitter + Widget = Twidger
Here’s a small WordPress plugin that allows you to display messages with usernames and avatars from a Twitter search results. An easy way to display the latest tweets containing specific keywords or usernames.
This plugin reuses code from Antonio “Woork” Lupetti ( Simple PHP Twitter Search ready to use in your web projects ), Ryan Faerman ( PHP Twitter Search API ) and David Billingham.
This plugin requires cURL to be running on the server. I am NOT a programmer, if you want to fix things, suit yourself. Special thanks to Marc Boivin.

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
