Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records User Timer version 0.1.3 as active, updated 1y ago and tested up to WordPress 6.7.
Overview
About this plugin
User Timer tracks how long logged-in users stay active on your site. It checks at regular intervals if the user’s browser is still open on any page. You can set the check interval (in minutes), and choose which user roles to monitor.
Useful for understanding how long users engage with your site — for example, measuring admin working time, member activity, or student engagement on e-learning platforms.
Collected data can be filtered by date range and exported to CSV, showing total time (in minutes) per user.
Main features:
Set check interval (in minutes)
Enable tracking by user role
Filter data by date range
Export results to CSV
Usage
Go to Tools > User Timer. Set the interval and select which user roles to track. The plugin will start logging active time.
