About this plugin
Know your numbers — without the accounting software.
Vickery Finance Calculators adds six practical calculators to any WordPress site. They run entirely in the visitor’s browser, update as you type, and need no accounts, no API keys, and no external services. Every feature is included and unlocked: all six calculators, print/save reports for all of them, and a per-user calculation history.
The six calculators
- Rental Property ROI — monthly cash flow, cap rate, cash-on-cash return, and a Strong / Workable / Thin verdict before you buy.
- Freelance Tax Estimator — self-employment tax, federal income tax, and the quarterly payment, using the 2025 federal brackets and standard deductions, clearly labelled in the interface. Estimate only, not tax advice.
- Break-Even — units and revenue needed to cover costs, contribution margin, and profit at your expected volume.
- Mortgage Payoff — how much extra monthly or lump-sum payments save in interest and time.
- Profit, Margin & Markup — gross and net profit, both margins, and product markup vs. margin (they are not the same thing).
- Savings Goal — the monthly amount needed to reach a goal, or how long a monthly amount takes to get there.
Reports and history, included
Every calculator can print or save a clean report of its inputs and results. Logged-in visitors can also save snapshots of their calculations and review them later with the [vickfica_history] shortcode. Site administrators can review and delete saved entries under VF Calculators → History.
Ways to add them
- The “Vickery Finance Calculators” Gutenberg block — pick one calculator or the tabbed six-calculator suite.
- Shortcodes: [vickfica_calculators] for the suite, or [vickfica_rental], [vickfica_freelance_tax], [vickfica_breakeven], [vickfica_mortgage], [vickfica_profit], [vickfica_savings] individually, plus [vickfica_history] for a logged-in user’s saved calculations.
Privacy
The plugin collects nothing. Calculators run locally in the browser; there is no tracking, no analytics, and no call to any external server. History entries are stored in your own site’s database only when a logged-in user clicks “Save to history”, and they are removed when the plugin is uninstalled.
