Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Video Thumbnails Reloaded version 1.0.1 as active, updated 5y ago and tested up to WordPress 5.7.
Overview
About this plugin
Video Thumbnails makes it easy to automatically display video thumbnails in your template. When you publish a post, this plugin will find the first video embedded and retrieve a thumbnail for you. Thumbnails can be saved to your media library and set as a featured image automatically.
There’s even support for custom post types and custom fields!
Video Thumbnails Reloaded is based on Video Thumbnails developed by Sutherland Boswell
