Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records W2Lin Flip Card version 0.9.1 as active, updated 10d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.1.

Accessibility

Use manual mode by default. Assisted hover retains native keyboard/touch buttons,

does not steal focus on hover and supports Escape dismissal.

Hover-only deliberately removes the buttons: keyboard and touchscreen access to

the back is not guaranteed. The editor displays a non-dismissible warning.

Both faces remain readable without JavaScript. Reduced motion removes rotation.

Icons are decorative whether displayed in the front content or as a background.

They are hidden from assistive technologies and must not convey information that

is missing from the card title or text. A background icon does not replace the

face background image and must not reduce the readability of overlaid content.

Check author-selected color contrast, images, link labels and the resulting

content with assistive technology. This package is not a WCAG certification.

Privacy and security

No tracking, remote library, custom endpoint or cookies. A single per-site WordPress option stores plugin settings; cards stay in normal post content.

Assets are local. The optional Lucide pack also works entirely locally. Author-selected external images/links may access external sites.

URLs, colors, presets, icon names, numeric values and mode values are constrained.

SVG uploads are not enabled. Fixed SVG masks are bundled.

WordPress controls editing permissions, media permissions and post HTML filtering.
