Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records Image transitions version 0.1 as active, updated 12y ago and tested up to WordPress 3.7.
Overview
About this plugin
Missing the “oomf” in your posts? With this plugin you’ll be able to easily add transitions to images in your posts that happens as soon as they come in view.
Choose between “Scale in”, “Fade in” and “Slide from bottom”.
Right now, the plugin is only using CSS3 transitions, but if there is a demand, we’ll make some fallbacks to support older browsers. Same with adding different transitions or other features, if you have an idea or request, we’ll happily consider it.
Coming features:
Reverse transition when image goes out of view
More transition types
Change transition on an already attached image
Set transition on any element

“Tested up to” is directory metadata supplied by the plugin author. WP PlugIndex does not turn an older declaration into a claim that the plugin is incompatible.
