Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →
WP PlugIndex currently records WP Kill In Feed version 1.2 as active, updated 8y ago and tested up to WordPress 4.9.
Overview
About this plugin
This plugin gives you two new shortcodes: [killinfeed] will prevent whatever it\’s wrapped around from being included in your site\’s RSS feed, and [addtofeed] will add exclusive feed-only content. It\’s especially useful for wrapping around multimedia shortcodes that are adding bits and pieces of the media player into your feed, or for making content exclusive to only one consuming audience.
For example, you could use it to display an ad on your site but not in your RSS feed, or show an exclusive link or promotion to your podcast subscribers but not to your website visitors. Thanks to Daniel J. com/theDanielJLewis)
