Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records WP to diaspora version 4.0.0 as active, updated 3y ago and tested up to WordPress 6.3.

How does this plugin do it?

So you want to know what happens in the background, to get your post to diaspora*?

Well, this might be a little technical, but it’s simple enough to understand the concept.

Basically, the server your WordPress installation is set up on makes a connection to your diaspora* pod, logs you in using the provided username and password, adds a new post (which is your WordPress post) and responds to say if everything was successful.

Quite straightforward, right?
