About this plugin
GMD – Retragere din Contract is built for the Romanian WooCommerce market. It helps stores receive, assess and track customer withdrawal requests for distance sales to consumers. This plugin supports workflows related to the consumer withdrawal right under Romania’s Government Emergency Ordinance no. 34/2014 (OUG nr. 34/2014), especially Articles 9–16. For standard distance sales, the ordinance generally provides a 14-day withdrawal period, subject to its statutory exceptions. Store owners remain responsible for determining whether the ordinance applies to their business, products and individual orders, and for meeting all legal obligations. Features include: Customer requests from My Account, with product and quantity selection. Guest order lookup using order number, billing email and a time-limited signed token. Item-level eligibility that prevents overlapping requests and supports partial withdrawals. Automatic exclusion of virtual, downloadable and explicitly non-returnable products. Product and product-category exclusion controls, including bulk actions. Optional IBAN collection, validation and masking. Request audit trail, WooCommerce order notes and customer/admin email notifications. WooCommerce HPOS compatibility. The plugin does not create financial refunds automatically. Development This plugin does not use a build process. The JavaScript source is maintained directly in assets/js/gmdrc-public.js , which is included in readable, editable form in every plugin release.
