Repository metrics are context, not quality scores. Active installations measure adoption and can strongly reflect a plugin’s age and historical popularity. Ratings, recent updates and “Tested up to” metadata also do not guarantee modern code, error-free operation, security, feature completeness or suitability for a particular site. Why active installs don’t tell the whole story →

WP PlugIndex currently records Mitch SEO version 1.1.0 as active, updated 25d ago and tested up to WordPress 7.0.

Overview

About this plugin

ai. It does three

things:

  • Registers three post-meta keys ( _mitch_seo_title, _mitch_seo_metadesc,

_mitch_jsonld) for the WordPress REST API so Mitch can write approved SEO

fixes to your pages. WordPress silently ignores writes to unregistered meta,

so this registration is required.

  • Renders those values through your active SEO plugin’s own output (Yoast,

Rank Math, All in One SEO, SEOPress) – or standalone if you have no SEO

plugin. It never overwrites your SEO plugin’s own fields, so any change Mitch

makes is fully reversible from the Mitch dashboard.

  • Adds internal links to your existing pages when Mitch publishes a new blog

post, so the post is linked from related pages on your site. It wraps a

phrase that is already in the page’s body text in a link to the new post,

never rewrites any other text, saves an exact copy of the original first,

checks the result, and restores the original automatically if anything

other than the new link changed. Works with Elementor text widgets and

classic or block-editor content; pages built with other page builders are

left untouched.

ai account. To sign up, go to

ai

and create your account, then connect your site from the dashboard.

All REST access requires an authenticated user (WordPress Application Password)

with permission to edit the post. No endpoint is public.

External services

ai SEO service. It does not connect

to any external service on its own – it only responds to authenticated REST API

ai account.

ai

ai’s servers send a single authenticated REST API request

to your own WordPress site (using the WordPress Application Password you

created when connecting) to read or write that page’s title, meta description,

and JSON-LD structured data.

ai dashboard is published,

ai may also request the rendered body of a few related pages on your

site, add one link to the new post in each page’s body text, and undo that

edit if its checks fail. No other data is read or transmitted, and no request

happens unless you have connected your site.

ai or any

other server – it only exposes authenticated REST endpoints (status, and the

internal-link insert/rollback/render endpoints under wp-json/mitch-seo/v1 )

and REST-writable post meta, all of which require a logged-in WordPress user

capable of editing the relevant post.
